The Significans of Beer Packaging

Beer packaging is the last technological process in beer production making process, which is also the most complicated and has the greatest impact on product quality. It not only affects the internal quality of the product, but also affects the appearance quality of the product.

Purpose and requirements of bottle washing

Clean the inner and outer walls of empty bottles thoroughly, disinfect and sterilize them, and provide bottles that meet the hygiene and use requirements for filling. The inner and outer walls of the bottle are clean and bright. Without peculiar smell; No breakage of the bottle; The temperature of the bottle is moderate, generally around 30℃; The PH value is 7. There is no excessive residual liquid in the bottle, generally 3 ~ 4 drops; Microbial inspection qualified, no coliform group, no more than 2 bacterial colonies.

The basic principle of bottle washing

The cleanliness of beer bottles is of decisive significance for the shelf life of beer. There should be no stains on the inside and outside of the bottle after cleaning. In a modern brewery, the cleanliness of the bottles can be completed by an empty bottle inspection machine. Because, when using high-speed filling equipment to produce, it is impossible to inspect it manually with the naked eye.

The quality of the wash bottle can be visually inspected based on experience. If the bottle appears to be completely covered by a water film, it can be considered that the mechanical cleaning is sufficiently thorough. If the cleaning is not thorough, the glass surface will form water droplets due to incomplete wetting.

Factors affecting the cleaning effect

Soak

The separation and shedding of the dirt on the bottle surface requires a certain time for soaking and dissolving. The soaking time is affected by many factors, generally 8~10 minutes. Soaking is also related to the removal effect of the label.

Jet flushing (mechanical action)

The bottle spraying and washing section is located at the upper part of the machine. Modern bottle washing machines are generally equipped with a combined soaking tank and a spray cleaning station following it.

Temperature

Higher cleaning temperature can accelerate the dissolution and separation of dirt. Generally, the effective treatment temperature is between 70 and 85°C. At this temperature, satisfactory sanitary indicators can be reached.

detergent

The cleaning agent is generally alkaline and has a sterilizing effect, especially high temperature lye. The cleaning agent can not only remove dirt, but also a carrier of dirt.

The effect of the temperature and concentration of the cleaning agent on the cleaning effect

The cleaning effect is directly related to the temperature and concentration of the cleaning agent.

The higher the temperature, the lower the concentration of cleaning agent required.

Generally speaking, increasing the concentration of the cleaning agent by 50% at the same temperature, or increasing the temperature by 5.5°C under the same cleaning agent concentration, has the same cleaning effect.
