Product Description

At the request, we prepared the technical and commercial offer of fresh/dry yeast plant. The targeted capacity of the plant is 300~15,000 tons per year, based on 24 hours per day.

The design and engineering of the dry yeast plant is based on the concept of guaranteeing reliable and  constant operation, providing efficient production, output quality products, saving maximum energy and minimizing maintenance to the plant.

The plant mainly includes molasses pretreatment system, fermentation system, flow-adding system, separation and washing system, filtration and pressing system, Dry granulating system, packaging system, etc., supporting compressed air system, refrigeration system, control system, CIP cleaning system, boiler system, water treatment system, etc.
In the automatic control system, advanced and reliable PLC is adopted. It ensures an easy integrated supervision and operation to the whole production line and individual parts of the production line.

System-wise description to the main machines

1  molasses pretreatment system

The molasses is sterilized by steam, diluted and clarified, and then put into the storage tank for later use.

2  fermentation system

The expanded culture of yeast can be divided into three stages: the pure strain culture in laboratory, the workshop culture and the fed-batch culture. The seeding tank was completely closed fermentation tank, the culture medium was sterilized by steam, and inoculated after cooling. In the fermentation tank, wort and other nutritive chemical salts were fed-batch continuously.

3  separation and washing system

When the yeast solid concentration is 30-50/L, the fermentation can be finished and the separation and washing stage can be entered.The fermentation liquid was washed by yeast centrifuge to remove the remaining molasses pigments on the surface of yeast cells and in the yeast emulsion, nutrients, defoaming agents and miscellaneous bacteria.

4  filtration and pressing system

Yeast emulsion dehydrated by vacuum drum filter processing, water content down to 65-70%, after squeezing molding become fresh yeast, the solids content of fresh yeast is commonly 28-34%.

5  Dry granulating system

The treated yeast enters the extruder and is pressed into strips.Into the fluidized bed dryer, in the strong hot wind blowing, automatically broken into about 3mm granule, then dried into finished products. Low temperature and low humidity air were used to dry into dry yeast with water content of 4-4.5% after secondary drying.Due to the low drying temperature, high drying speed and high degree of automation, the fermentation capacity of dry yeast has little loss

6  packaging system

After drying, the yeast powder is stored in a dry yeast tank and then packaged into products by an automatic vacuum packaging machine.Due to the use of vacuum packaging, dry yeast shelf life at room temperature can reach more than two years. The packaging of fresh yeast is also completed by vacuum packaging machine, but the temperature must be controlled.

7  Automation control system

The automation control system is related to PLC and central control section,realizing full control of The production process.
